WELCOME TO THE CLAY CENTRE MEMBERS AREA
The Clay Centre Members Area is a dedicated co-working clay studio equipped with everything you need to further your ceramic practice in your own time.
Membership gives you access to the wheels, hand-building areas and glazing facilities in the Members area during open hours. To become a member you must have some experience with clay and understand the difference between a bisque firing and a glaze firing. You must also have a good understanding of how to glaze your work. If you have done our 5-week Beginners Level 1 course this is enough to become a member. Once you have filled out a Membership Application Form, we will be in touch with an induction date.

Wheels
The members area is fully equipped with 16 wheels that are available to be booked for 3 hour slots via an easy to use web platform.

Kilns
TCCMA is home to 2 large electric kilns that are used to fire members’ work on a weigh and pay basis.

Glazes
We have 12 specially formulated glazes consistently mixed up that can be used to make up to 144 different combinations, all of which have their own test tile to inspire you.

Hand-building tables and slab rollers
TCCMA has plenty of space for your hand building dreams, including a large Cowley slab roller.

Dedicated shelving
Each member has their own shelf space to store whatever they want on.
Once your items are ready for bisq and glaze firing, they can be stored on our kiln shelves!

Spray booths
TCCMA has two pressurized glaze spray booths to help you get even more creative with your glaze application.

Coded entry
No key needed! Come and go as you please with our coded door access.

Late hours
TCCMA is open from 9:00am - 10:00pm 7 days a week so you can get your clay fix when it suits you.

The best part of The Clay Centre Members Area is the community. By becoming a member you will meet so many other potters of all skill levels. We love seeing our members pushing and helping each other on their clay journeys.
