6:30 - 9pm
Design and hand build your own ceramic ornaments - A perfect way to bring a handmade touch to your festive tree.
In this 3-part workshop you’ll create handmade ceramic ornaments to decorate your tree with a personal touch. Using hand building techniques such as slab building, stamping, and cutting, you will design and form a collection of festive pieces, think stars, baubles, angels, or even your own unique shapes.
In the second session, you’ll explore surface decoration using underglazes and oxides, adding colour and detail to bring your ornaments to life. Finally, in the third session, you’ll glaze your pieces, learning to use wax resist for a combination of glossy and matte finishes that give depth and texture to your work.
This course is suited to all levels, from beginners to those with some clay experience. By the end, you’ll have a set of one-of-a-kind decorations to treasure year after year.
